MAIN
01. Everyone on the site should be treated like a friend. Sure, maybe you don’t really like them, but you should at least act civilly towards one another. And that being said, no fighting at all. If you must, do it in private messaging ( PM ).
02. Everything must comply with the Proboards TOS, so I really don’t even need to mention the things that go against it.
03. Please do not join this site if you are unfamiliar and unused to proboards. Learning it can take a bit of time, which leaves you wanting to roleplay while you learn the basics. Try joining a one-liner roleplay, so you can get used to the basics, and then come back here. :3
04. Spam is spam. We do not like seeing it, but if you feel the need to make a random post, I’m sure you can find a thread for that. Spamming elsewhere will simply result in it being deleted as well as you; just depends on the situation.
05. Listen to the admins ( August and Storm ); what they say goes. Arguing with a staff member about most things ( unless you are 100% correct ) can get you a very severe warning. We are the ones that run the site, not you. Make your own site if you want to be the boss and do it your way.
06. Going with the above rule, no yelling at the staff members either, now matter WHAT the situation.
07. Chatspeak? Yeah. That should be quarantined to the chat box, and only there. In fact, try and keep it to a minimum there. Do u rly wnt 2 c ppl tlking lik dis all ovr de plac? Didn’t expect you to.
08. If you steal, we will punish you the best we can. You will be reported to proboards, ban you, and talk about you with other sites who - guess what? - hate stealing just as much as we do and will also probably ban you. We do not take this lightly.
09. Discussion of inappropriate things are not allowed out of character or in character. Basically, anything that is offensive and can start arguments. Sex, war, religion, politics, sexual orientation, ect.
10. Don’t join if you haven’t ever read the Warriors books. How will you know anything about what this site is based on? If you haven’t, skip on down to the library and read the first ( by Erin Hunter ) then come on back and sign up. It’s that easy. :3
11. Don't ever abuse powers we may have given you, we will simply ban you forever. No joke.
12. One account per person, and only seven cats per account. There is no way to ‘buy’ more cats, and kits / cats you adopt count as one of the seven.
13. Only the owner of a cat may adopt it out. The admins will never give out a cat when you get deleted / inactive, so don’t worry about it. You may also ask one of use to delete a cat’s bio from the archives if you wish.
POSTING
01. Yes, we allow liquid time. If you don’t know what that is, check the FAQ. Please don’t abuse this by having your character in every thread, though.
02. After you join, you have three weeks to make your first character and start / join a thread. If by the end of the three weeks you haven’t completed the two requirements, your account will be deleted. This is only so that activity checks will not have to be so frequent, and you can always make a new account.
03. The minimum words count for each IC post is 175 words, and 200 words for members with high-ranking cats. Because really, how can you work with only three sentences in the previous post? We have a word counter on the sidebar, so you have no excuse to have any less. Such a pain! Well, not really.
04. God-moding and powerplaying are never allowed. God-moding is when you character is practically invinsible ( a god ), and powerplaying is when you are controlling another’s character ( such as hurting them without their consent ). The first word is New.
05. You cannot kill another's character without their permission. We won't ban you or anything, but will simply disregard the post. Admins are the only ones who can kill a cat without the permission, and this is only used for inactive members’ cats.
06. Posting can only be done in third person. I know that a lot of people like and prefer first, but third is so much easier to understand, and the books go by it as well.
07. Leave OOC knowledge OOC. Here is an example of what not to do. Say two cats are roleplaying, one is a queen and the other is a medicine cat.
Here’s the queen’s portion of the roleplay. “This medicine cat is really crazy. I really do not like her, and I do not trust her with my kits. Even though these thoughts invaded her mind, the silky queen was excellent at keeping emotions to herself, especially these ones. Say this it the medicine cat’s portion. The medicine cat could tell the queen despised her. Maybe not from actions directly, but in subtle movements you could tell. Hmmmph.”
THAT IS A NO-NO. The medicine cat would have no inkling about the queen’s personal thoughts. She is not a mind reader. Leave it that way, and realize I am very strict about this.
08. Swearing is not allowed IC. The most these cats curse is with the words, “mousedung”, “stupid furball”, ect. Anyone familiar with warriors should know that. If you wish to use it OOC, that is fine, just keep to a minimum.
09. When there are over two people, you should probably come up with a posting order. That way nobody gets confused or left out.
10. This is an intermediate site. That means correct grammar and spelling are key. A way to check your spelling/grammar is to write everything out in a Word document beforehand, and use spellcheck.
11. When posting a fight, make sure it ends up fair. If a kit tries to fight an adult cat, the kit will most likely die. If a young cat tries to fight one with more experience, they will probably get really hurt.
CHARACTERS
01. A character’s name should by similar to the ones found in the books. I have never seen a Butterflytail, Eclipsedeye, or Hibiscuspelt before in the books. If in your bio there are ones similar to this, we will ask you to change it. Also, remember to use things that actual warriors would know about. They don’t know what ink, polar bears, or chickens are.
02. No canon characters. This is a time after Fireheart, but they never moved to the lake. So elders can tell stories about them, they can make references, ect.
03. This is a cat roleplay, and therefore you can only make felines. :3 Also, no magical cats please, I’m sure you can find a fantasy site for that.
04. Apprentices can only be created at six or seven moons; no older. They also must have been in at least three training threads to become a warrior.
05. Kits cannot be created; they must be born.
06. Clan leaders decide punishments for cats disobeying the Warrior code, so be careful when breaking them.
07. Clan leaders also get to choose the apprentice’s warrior name. You can make suggestions, however, but it is up to them whether they will listen or not.
08. Clan leaders can hold activity checks for their Clans up to once every two months, and give us the results. It is up to use whether we will delete the cat or just give the player a warning.
09. One high-ranking cat per person. Certain exceptions will be made, but only for specific reasons. Not because you just 'want one'.
MATES / LITTER
01. To have kits, you must have another member roleplay the mate. You cannot play your cat's mates, or have a cat have a non-existent mate. They must also be a female and a male. ;3
02. Cats can have litters with more than one father. This happens all the time in real-life, so appearances and other statistics with adjust appropriately.
03. Mating should really not be posted. Maybe the beforehand and the afterwards. The second word is Lives. If you really want to, take it to PMs.
04. The queens will be pregnant for about three weeks ( real time ) before giving birth, give or take a couple of days.
05. A litter’s statistics ( eye colors, pelt colors, gender, health at birth, number of kits ) will depend on the parents’ statistics, the Clan’s need ( if applicable ), and the admin’s choice, so please fill out a form.
06. Naming is always up to the parents.
07. The roleplayer of a parent can only have one kit of the litter. The person who claims the kit writes the bio, or if the parents choose, they can write them first and hand them out to the claimer.
08. The members role-playing the kits will not be able to role-play them until seven OOC days after they are born. Until then, the kits cannot talk, and have their ears and eyes closed for about the first half.
09. Kits that are not claimed by a roleplayer or one of the parents will die within an appropriate amount of time, by sickness or some other sort of ailment or disaster
10. Always check the Ban List for bans.
11. Kits / Apprentices / Elders / Leaders = NO KITS!
12. Before you can have kits, the two cats must first have met once or twice, and then have a thread in which the kits are conceived. The codewords for the request form is miracle. Then you can request the litter.
